The rent receipt is a legal obligation of the landlord. Here are mandatory fields and a ready-to-use template.
Mandatory fields
- Landlord name, address and signature
- Tenant name
- Full property address
- Period covered (1st to last day of month)
- Total amount, split rent / charges
- Issue date and unique receipt number
- Currency (XOF, EUR, USD…)
